Voelker, Anna (1 July 1883 - 12 Oct. 1958)

Mrs, August Voelker died of complications Sunday morning at the Nelson Nursing Home in Arpin at the age of 75 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Evangelical and Reformed Church, Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Grand sons served as pall bearers.

Anna Koeser was born in Sheboygan county on July 1, 1883. She married August Voelker in Manitowoc county on April 8, 1901. The couple lived in Manitowoc for seven years and then moved onto a farm west of Colby which they operated until 12 years ago when they retired and moved to the city of Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Voelker is survived by her husband; four sons, Oscar Voelker of Colby, Roland Voelker of Abbotsford, Marvin Voelker of Pittsville and Elmer Voelker of Woodruff; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Flick of Colby; 18 grand children; 12 great grand children; four brothers, Emil Koeser, John Koeser, Louis Koeser, Charles Koeser; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Schaar.

Mrs. Voelker was well known for her fine Christian character and amicable disposition. Members of her family and friends will always remember her for her fine qualities.

Funeral services were held last week Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. August Voelker who died at the age of 75 years as reported last week. Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiated at the services and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were her grand sons, Robert, John and Richard Voelker, Stanley Voelker, Wayne Flick and Max Ramker. Flowers were in charge of her grand daughters, Sandra, Karen and Alice Voelker, Ellen and Marie Flick and Sandra Ramker. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Radeztsky sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "Whispering Hope," accompanied by Mrs. Clinton Herrmann on the organ.
